Meet Our Founders
Cat and Wade Schmitz
Welcome to our corner of Gainesboro! We are Cat and Wade, originally from Houston, Texas, we've truly found our home here in Jackson County. Wade brings his artistic talents with a degree in Sculpture from the University of Houston, while Cat has successfully juggled multiple businesses and the joys of raising three wonderful children. Gainesboro Modern is the fulfillment of a shared dream and we’re excited to share our journey and connect with this vibrant community!

Our museum actively seeks to showcase artists from diverse backgrounds and perspectives in order to celebrate the rich tapestry of human experiences. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where all visitors feel respected and represented. Through our programming and exhibitions, we aim to promote understanding, empathy, and unity within our community.
